A growing list of unmissable degree shows to check out this summer
Against all odds, the recently graduated class of 2021 are ready to share their work with the world! This year, we’re happy to see a new exciting crop of exhibitions emerge – both virtually and in-person. While we won’t be doing our usual degree show listings, here, we will be collating details of a range of shows from graphic design and photography to fashion and everything in-between. Made It! 2021 – Short Supply
Short Supply brings together 28 graduate artists from universities across the North West to exhibit their work. For many, it will be their first time exhibiting work physically in nearly two years – and for some, it is their first time exhibiting professionally.
Location: Rogue Artists’ Studios, 4 Barrass St, Openshaw, Manchester M11 1WP

Camberwell College of Arts, University of the Arts London, Various Courses
Students over at Camberwell College of Arts are showcasing a great range of work from graphic design, illustration and photography through to fine art courses specialising in everything from drawing and painting to photography and sculpture.
Chelsea College of Arts, University of the Arts London, Various Courses
Browse work from the students at Chelsea across courses like graphic design communication and fine art all the way through to work from the textile and interior design courses.
Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, Various Courses
With a huge range of work to scroll through, CSM have graduate work on show from courses like architecture, MA graphic communication design, performance, fashion design menswear and womenswear and many more.

From design for art direction, design for branded spaces, graphic branding and identity, illustration and photojournalism and documentary photography – there’s plenty of great work on show from the LCC class of 2021.

The smallest of the UAL colleges, students from Wimbledon are exhibiting a fantastic range of work across courses like painting, print and time-based media to sculpture.

There’s a great selection of projects on show from the 2021 class at LCF. Check out work from courses including fashion photography, fashion sportswear and MA fashion futures.
Exhibition as Process – Central Saint Martins, BA Fine Art
The fine art students at CSM have reimagined the traditional degree show and turned it on its head. This year’s graduating students have devised over 50 public events, exhibitions and activities, taking place over three months in locations across London, the UK and internationally. The show runs up until 31st August 2021.

Third Culture Collective – University of West London, BA Advertising and Public Relations
Preston’s Class of 2021 – University of Central Lancashire, BA Graphic Design
Featuring work across typography, motion graphics, UX design and branding, all 26 graphic design graduates at the University of Central Lancashire showcase both self-initiated projects and live briefs for Coors and Spotify, amongst others.

Ravensbourne University, London, Various Courses
Design school Ravensbourne has a wealth of work on show from newly-graduated artists and designers in disciplines ranging from product design, communication, graphic design, motion graphics, fashion, digital photography, animation and many more. An outdoor exhibition of all the work will also be held outside its Greenwich campus in October.
RADAR 2021: Rise – University of Huddersfield, Various Courses
Happening all year round with workshops and talks in the summer, the students of the University of Huddersfield’s School of Art, Design and Architecture are exhibiting work by students in illustration, graphic design, contemporary art, photography, costume with textiles and fashion creative direction, amongst other courses.
We Are Creatives – Nottingham Trent University, Various Courses
The ‘innovators’, ‘communicators’ and ‘radicals’ at Nottingham Trent University are showcasing how innately creative they are. Courses on show range from animation, graphic design, fine art, fashion design, textile design, fashion communication and promotion and many more.

unmuted – University of West London, BA Graphic Design (Visual Communication and Illustration)
After being ‘on mute’ for over a year with lockdowns, the graphic design students at the University of West London wanted to give something back. So, in addition to exhibiting their work, they have created video tutorials to showcase a wide range of their favourite tips, tricks and techniques.
21 Point – Southampton Solent University, BA Graphic Design
The students of Southampton Solent University’s graphic design course have ‘reached across the globe this year’, managing to create a degree show that reaches not just Southampton, but Portugal, China and the Czech Republic as well.
EVERYTHING IS DIFFERENT – Middlesex University, Various Courses
EVERYTHING IS DIFFERENT is a digital showcase presenting the graduates of Middlesex University’s fashion programme, through the lens of their experience, stories and work. Areas shown include design, texture, communication and visual cultures.
Ruskin School of Art, Oxford University, BFA/MFA/DPhil Fine Art
Ranked the #1 school for art in the UK in The Guardian’s league tables, the students of the Ruskin School of Art, as well as showing their final pieces, have also written poetry for their website and ‘produced a catalogue for a show that never happened’.
Tomorrow Starts Today – Shillington Education, Graphic Design Course
Launching throughout the second half of July, Shillington Education invite you to check out out the range of work produced by their students. The London campus’ class will be featured on the site from the 21st, with students in Manchester, New York City, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and across the UK to follow.
KSA Show 2021 – Kingston University, Various Courses
Kingston School of Art have put on display work by students from a wide range of courses, ranging from fine art, filmmaking and fashion design, to dance, popular music and product and furniture design. There are also virtual Q&As and performances being held until the 22nd July.
Spectrum – Arts University Bournemouth, BA Graphic Design
With their show ‘Spectrum’, Arts University Bournemouth aim to highlight both ‘the broad range of designers that make [their] course unique and exciting’, and their students’ own individuality.
