The job search can be tough, to say the least – and by the time you send off your application, you’re exhausted, only to have to rinse and repeat for the next job you apply for. It's no wonder then, that emerging creatives are turning to AI when job hunting: as we found out through our social media poll, 40% of you are already adopting AI tools and 41% are curious to explore them. As a rising number of employers ask for applications created without the use of AI, however, the time-saving software certainly splits opinion. With so much interest in its potential, we’ve compiled a list of AI platforms that creatives are currently using to save time and effort during their job search.

✏️ Writing cover letters

With the promise of saving candidates time and helping them stand out from the competition, the following software can offer cover letter writing help. However, as AI technology improves, so do the detection tools designed to flag computer-generated content; certainly something for job-seekers to bare in mind. If you do decide to give these a go, a good rule might be to always edit before sending.

Watch out for: ChatGPT output is not always accurate, make sure you carefully check before sending it to an employer. Also, be aware that some employers will be checking for applications produced using AI.

As a survey respondent told us, “it helps articulate things in a more succinct way”.
