Budding photographers, listen up! Our next portfolio review event has been created with you in mind. You can be a student, a grad or simply be within the first year of your career journey.

We’ve got another stellar line-up of reviewers – from experienced photographers and commissioners to world-renowned companies – all ready to cast some fresh eyes over your photography portfolios. Stay tuned here and on our social channels, as we’ll be announcing the full line-up soon.

This is a chance to meet industry professionals, get advice and feedback, at the same time as getting to know some fellow emerging creatives.

The session will take place over Zoom on Thursday 25th March 2021, from 5pm to 8pm GMT. There are only a limited number of places available, so make sure you sign up to register your interest.

The event itself is fast-paced: In breakout rooms of three emerging creatives and one reviewer, you will get the opportunity to show and discuss work, and get advice and feedback. This will then rotate, so you get to meet several reviewers throughout the evening.

Please also note that the session is open to those looking to get into photography, with no more than one year of experience. You will be required to have something to show (e.g. one project or up to 10 photos that capture what you do), but don’t worry if this isn’t a polished portfolio.

Suki Dhanda
Having worked as a photographer for over twenty years, Suki has shot some of the biggest names in contemporary culture – from the former prime minister to Stormzy. Through years of assisting other photographers and portfolio building, Suki grew a long-running relationship with The Guardian and The Observer, for whom she now shoots the majority of her commercial work.

Luke Evans
Freelance artist and photographer Luke Evans splits his time between commercial work for the likes of Dazed & Confused, The Gourmand, The Wellcome Collection, and Fenty by Rihanna, and the more artistic side of his practice. A graduate of Kingston University’s BA in Graphic Design and Photography, Luke’s work is also part of the Saatchi Gallery’s permanent collection.

Holly-Marie Cato
Photographer and filmmaker Holly-Marie’s body of work blends a passion for travel, community and street photography. Her work has seen her travel the globe, forging connections with grassroots-based charities, to partnering with international brands. Alongside her photography and film work, Holly hosts workshops and talks on photography and the art of storytelling.

This session is open to students, grads, or those within the first year of a creative career. Please note you are only eligible to register if you are:

• Not in full-time creative work
• Within the first year of your career
• Based in the UK
• Aged 18 and over

Registering for this event does not guarantee a place. Those invited to attend will be emailed a week before the event, and will be asked to pay a £5 deposit. This is to confirm your attendance, and will be refunded after the session.
