We’re seeking talented poets to take the stage at our upcoming Poetry Night & Watch Party on 21 February 2025 at the D&AD Office.
This event celebrates the power of Black voices through poetry, film, and discussion. If your poetry explores themes like racial identity, resilience, vulnerability, or the pursuit of peace, we want to hear from you!
📜 What We’re Looking For:
Poets of Black or Black mixed heritage, of all genders and ages, whose work connects to the themes of blackness, trauma, friendship, or survival.
🎭 About the Event:
- Poetry performances
- Screening of Can A Brother Get Some Peace? a short film directed by Audrey Damier & Yvonne Shelling
- Panel discussion with the film's directors and special guests
This is a self-funded event with limited slots—we’re selecting 8 poets to perform.
