What is the Creative Fellowship?
The Creative Fellowship at Google is a six-month, paid program for emerging creative talent with 0–5 years’ experience. It offers hands-on experience, ongoing mentorship and exposure across Google’s various in-house creative teams.
This year there are a number of creative roles available, across various creative teams based in New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Portland.

The event will take place virtually on Google Meet on Thursday 20 February 2025.
⏰ When?
The event will be three hours long, with breaks in between, from 10am to 1pm PDT (1pm to 4pm EDT).
💻 How?
In virtual breakout rooms of three emerging creatives and one to two Google reviewers, you will get the opportunity to show and discuss work, and get advice and feedback. This will then rotate, so you get to meet several reviewers throughout the session.
How To Apply
Who can apply?
This portfolio review is open to creatives from a wide range of disciplines, including design, content creation and writing to production, UX design and creative technology.
Students, grads and those currently seeking work or working in the creative industry can apply. To register, applicants must:
• Be aged 18 or over
• Be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
• Have between 0 to 5 years’ professional experience in the creative industry
As part of the application process, you will be required to have something to show, but this doesn’t have to be a polished portfolio. We also recommend keeping this to one to two projects or pieces of work that best capture what you do.
How will attendees be selected for the Portfolio Review?
In line with our aim to encourage greater transparency and representation within the creative working world, we prioritise candidates from historically underrepresented backgrounds in the creative industries.
This includes (but is not limited to) applicants from ethnically diverse backgrounds; the LGBTQIA+ community; those who are neurodivergent; D/deaf, disabled or have a long-term health condition; and applicants from lower socioeconomic backgrounds.
