Create is seeking a dynamic, energetic, people-centred individual to plan, oversee and monitor a portfolio of its award-winning creative arts projects in the UK.
This full-time position would suit someone with extensive project management experience gained in the arts or charity sector, and a firm belief in the power of the arts as a transformational tool in challenging community settings. You will have outstanding interpersonal, negotiation and organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively, persuasively and empathetically with a variety of different groups of vulnerable people.
The successful applicant will:
● Oversee the planning, management, and rigorous evaluation of a portfolio of creative arts projects in community settings, including line managing freelance professional artists and freelance project managers.
● Develop and maintain strong relationships with a range of community sector/voluntary organisations and partners.
● Project manage a portfolio of projects onsite in challenging community settings such as adolescent psychiatric hospitals, day centres for older people, prisons, schools (mainstream/SEND), and young/adult carer services.
● Support the recruitment and management of freelance artists, working collaboratively with other members of the project team.
● Oversee the collection, monitoring, and evaluation of project data to ensure the quality and efficiency of service delivery.
● Induct and oversee volunteers on projects, ensuring their effective contribution.
Salary: £28,000 per annum
