Primadonna Commission Call Out

Budget: £9K

Deadline: 31 October 2024

Essex Cultural Diversity Project and Primadonna invite expressions of interest from creative practitioners to devcise and deliver a project that celebrates community, diversity and the power of the written and spoken word, which will take place in the run up to and during the next Primadonna Festival in July 2025.

Primadonna is a charity and book festival celebrating writing, creativity and ideas, taking place every year at the Food Museum in Stowmarket, Suffolk. Its aim is to spotlight marginalised voices with a vibrant programme that gives prominence to women, artists from diverse cultural backgrounds, the LGBTQ+ community, working class and disabled people.

The aims of the project are to uplift marginalised voices, and celebrate diversity and intersectionality in all its forms, with a series of workshops and events launching in the community on International Women’s Day in March, culminating in creative activity at the next Primadonna Festival in July.
