Zine Workshop: Fantasy
Cut Out Club

Opportunity closes: 15 Dec 2024
Type: Workshop
Based: London

Website: eventbrite.com
Instagram: @cut.out.club

In this workshop, we will explore the theme of "fantasy" through warm-up activities, creative prompts, and a relaxed block of time to make mini-zines that meaningfully reflect your thoughts, feelings, and wildest imagination 🧙‍♂️🧚‍♀️🧛‍♂️🧜‍♀️🔮🌌

Fantasy-style art taps into archetypal and universal themes that resonate with audiences across cultures and generations, allowing them to compare their own existence to other worlds, both utopian and dystopian.

This can help people see the value and flaws of other worlds, encourage exploration of new possibilities, and stir the desire for adventure and discovery. Whether you're a fanfic enthusiast or a complete novice to the genre, you're welcome in this space to create and explore whatever the theme of "fantasy" evokes for you.

Using the wide array of materials provided, which avenue of your fantasies will you follow to make your zine?

You do not need any prior experience to take part (though we always do like to welcome back familiar faces!) and included with your ticket is a bespoke handmade envelope full of collage cut-outs to use on the day or take home for later.

Embrace the element of chance, make new like-minded friends, join our supportive community, and most importantly – have fun delving into the zine-making process!

Still unsure about coming along? Check this to see how one of our previous zine workshops went, or read anonymously submitted feedback here from previous participants.
