Meet the Speakers:

- Jess Loveland – As Head of Talent Development at BBC Writers, Jess champions fresh voices and new ideas. She leads initiatives like the BBC Writers Open Call (Deadline: December 3rd), which connects emerging talent with producers at the BBC. Expect invaluable insights on getting your work noticed and practical tips for writers at various career stages.


- Lydia Yeoman – A screenwriter specializing in thriller and crime, Lydia’s series Curfew (adapted from After Dark by Jayne Cowie) has been greenlit by Paramount+ and is currently shooting in London. With experience pitching concepts and working with major studios, Lydia will share her journey from concept to greenlight and her expertise in developing compelling stories. She also teaches screenwriting at Bournemouth University.


- Joy Wilkinson – Known for her work across TV, film, theatre, and radio, Joy’s credits include Doctor Who, Lockwood & Co, and Suspect. Recently making her directorial debut with 7 KEYS at SXSW, she brings unique perspectives on breaking genre boundaries and crafting women-led stories. Joy’s experience includes being a Screen International Star of Tomorrow and having her screenplays selected twice for the Brit List.
