Next Us Youth Programme: Supporting Lambeth NEET Youth (16-24) Into Creative & Digital Careers
Lambeth ELEVATE and Lambeth Made
Next Us is a year-long programme designed to support Lambeth residents aged 16-24 who are not in education, employment, or training (NEET) and want to break into the Creative or Digital industries.
We have some exciting programmes coming up, including:
Rambert’s Creative Taster Day - Wednesday, 9th October 2024
Join us for a one-day creative journey where you will dive into the creative process and pitch your favourite book/film/TV show as an exciting show. You'll meet Rambert dancers and young creatives with experience on shows such as EastEnders and projects at Hackney Empire and Royal Court.
The Ascension Agency’s Brixton Screen Academy Bootcamp
Are you a film addict and interested in all things filmmaking? Don't miss out on our two-week programme where participants will:
- Create a film exploring the intricacies of human encounters.
- Get involved in all aspects of the production stages: Discovery, Pre-production, Production, Post-production, and Delivery.
- Have their film showcased at the Brixton Film Festival later this year and get the opportunity to discuss their creative process
- Earn a professional accreditation & more.
We also offer:
- Dedicated Creative Link Workers to support you throughout your journey.
- Help with CV development and job/education applications.
- Access to paid opportunities: creative bootcamps, internships, and work placements.
- Essential skills development and career pathway exploration.
- Connections with industry professionals.
We understand that barriers can prevent young people from accessing opportunities. Our additional support fund covers: childcare and travel costs, access needs, help to purchase ID and more!
Eligibility Criteria: Lambeth resident 16 to 24 years old Not in Employment, Education or Training
And fall into one or more of the categories below:
- Homeless or at risk of homelessness
- Care experienced
- Ex-offender
- Carer/ex-carer
- Refugee
- Involved in Substance Misuse
- Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Childcare responsibilities
