You’ve heard of that classic catch-22 right? Need experience to get experience? Well, Match22 aims to break that cycle with meaningful mentoring for those that need it most.
Our collective of design and illustration mentors are here to listen, guide and inspire the next generation of talent…that’s you!
Twice a year, we select 22 mentees to benefit from the wisdom and guidance of 22 mentors from across all corners of the design and illustration industry.
Applications are open to all aspiring creatives, based in the UK, with less than two years of industry experience in your desired creative field.
This includes the cumulative amount of time you have spent on industry placements, doing internships, freelancing or in a full-time position in a role relevant to your desired career path.
There is no age limit, because we believe you can be emerging at any age.

Assuming you’ve met the main criteria, the key thing your application is being judged on is why you want to get involved.
We want to hear about your journey - the highs and the lows, how you’d benefit from a mentor and how you’d make the most of this opportunity.
We’ll be looking at your socials, portfolio and CV to establish what level you’re currently working at, but your application isn’t being judged on this.
