Zine Workshop: Finance
Cut Out Club
Break taboos and learn about healthy money habits through collage zines: explore finance creatively, from budgeting to freelance confidence. In this workshop, we will explore the theme of "finance" through warm-up activities, creative prompts, and a relaxed block of time to make mini-zines that break down personal and societal barriers surrounding money 💰
Join us alongside our special guest Jaskiran Mangat (founder of Finance Therapy) to “cut and paste” your way to financial empowerment, breaking the silence around money and transforming your financial outlook into a vibrant, visual journey.
Through creative exploration, we’ll demystify topics that are often sensitive or taboo, such as: salary transparency, budgeting, financial goal-setting, and managing finances in the lucrative world of freelancing.
By translating financial concepts into zines, you will get the opportuinty to learn and discover new pressure-free ways to reflect on your financial lives, as well as build confidence in talking about money along the way.
Using the wide array of provided materials, you will uncover insights into your relationship with money and gain new tools to foster healthier financial habits, while we offer gentle guidance on the process of zine-making.
You do not need any prior experience to take part (though we always do like to welcome back familiar faces!) and included with your ticket is a bespoke handmade envelope full of collage cut-outs to use on the day or take home for later.
Embrace the element of chance, make new like-minded friends, join our supportive community, and most importantly – have fun delving into the zine-making process!
Still unsure about coming along? Check this to see how our previous zine workshop went, or read anonymously submitted feedback here from previous participants.
