Goalhanger launches £10,000 accelerator for UK digital creators
Chapters
Built an audience but not sure what comes next? Goalhanger, the company behind The Rest Is History and The Rest Is Politics, has launched a new Accelerator offering £10,000, mentorship and industry support to help creators turn short-form traction into longer-term projects.
There’s a point where posting regularly and growing an audience stops being the hard part – and figuring out what to do next becomes the real challenge.
Goalhanger’s new Accelerator is aimed at creators in exactly that position.
The three-month programme is designed for people who already have traction online, but want to move beyond short-form content into something more sustainable. That might mean improving production, developing bigger ideas, or working out how your content could translate into longer-form projects.
Rather than starting from scratch, it’s about building on what’s already working – with support from a team that’s used to turning ideas into formats people come back to.
What you actually get
Each creator selected for the programme receives up to £10,000 to put into their content – whether that’s better production, more time to experiment, or developing a new direction.
Alongside that, there’s direct access to Goalhanger’s editorial, creative and commercial teams, plus input from people working across platforms like YouTube and Spotify.
The bigger focus, though, is on what comes next. The programme is set up to help creators think beyond short-form and start shaping ideas that could work as longer-form series or formats – with the potential to develop those further with Goalhanger.
As co-founder Gary Lineker put it: “We’re interested in the work people return to – creators who build trust over time.”

Who it’s for
This isn’t aimed at beginners. To apply, you’ll already need to be active on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts or Facebook, with a clear point of view and an audience that’s engaging with your work.
It’s best suited to creators who feel like they’ve hit a turning point – where things are working, but the next step isn’t obvious yet.
