Have you ever spent ages browsing job sites or scrolling through social media for job opportunities, unable to find what you’re looking for? Don’t fear – we’ve collated a list of 14 newsletters and mailing lists that will send a whole host of opportunities straight to your inbox. Who knows, your next job might be an email away!

It can be tough to keep track of all the opportunities out there, which is why we’ve collated a list of 18 different newsletters and mailing lists showcasing UK-wide jobs, open calls, events and more across a number of disciplines.

We know that your inbox is a valuable space, so luckily, many of the newsletters and mailing lists below can be tailored to your interests and requirements, and sent on either a weekly, bi-monthly or monthly basis. And for those keen on finding their next role, some also offer daily job alerts that will let you know as soon as a relevant job is posted.

Creative Access

Discipline: All disciplines
Good for: Opportunities for those from underrepresented communities

Since being founded ten years ago, social enterprise Creative Access has placed over 2,000 creatives in jobs, over 2,000 in mentoring schemes and given employability skills to over 50,000 individuals. With a focus on providing opportunities for those from underrepresented communities, their mailing list features jobs across media, theatre, marketing and tech – and having industry partners including the BBC, Penguin Random House UK, Apple and The National Theatre, they have a wide range of opportunities to choose from.

Arts Jobs

If you want access to hundreds of arts and culture opportunities listed weekly, signing up to the Arts Jobs mailing list is a great way to see what the industry has to offer. Created by Arts Council England, the mailing list includes jobs and open calls in crafts, combined arts, literature, visual arts, music and other disciplines. There’s an option to filter opportunities to your liking as well as to make opportunities region-specific. You can also choose whether to receive updates daily or weekly.

LIVITY

Frequency: Weekly

Focusing on youth culture and trends, creative business LIVITY’s weekly newsletter is dedicated to connecting young people to the creative industry through promoting jobs, mentorships, courses and schemes that prioritise unemployed youth. They also have a network where creatives aged 18 to 30 can find collaborators, access career development events, drop in to portfolio sessions and find opportunities to work on LIVITY projects with brands such as Nike, Google and Netflix.

Run The Check

With a large presence on Instagram and connections to opportunities in publishing, galleries, education, tech and more, Run The Check has opportunities for the next generation of talent. Posting everything from entry-level roles to senior positions, they cover a range of roles for creatives at every stage of their careers. Sign up for their monthly newsletter to get all these opportunities sent straight to your inbox.

Social Fixt

Disciplines: Design, marketing, creative
Good for: Jobs, career tips and tricks
Frequency: Bi-monthly

Social Fixt is a platform with the goal of “fixing the employment gap for Black talent in the creative industry”. Listing opportunities for up and coming creatives on their jobs board, they’re working to ensure that one of the most under-represented groups in the creative sector have access to a plethora of roles. Their bi-monthly newsletter shares job opportunities, as well as tips and tricks on not only getting into the industry, but thriving in it.

Art Monthly

Disciplines: Museums, arts, marketing
Good for: Jobs, exhibition opportunities, residencies, competitions
Frequency: Monthly

As one of the leading contemporary art magazines in the UK, Art Monthly have access to many listings within the industry. Their monthly newsletter features jobs, workshops, open calls, residencies and competitions within the UK and internationally.

Beyond The Box

Disciplines: Design, architecture, community engagement
Good for: Opportunities for those looking to work in their local community
Frequency: Ad hoc

With a focus on working with communities to co-produce creative and cultural experiences, it’s no surprise that Beyond The Box also engages its own community. Its newsletter shares paid opportunities, events, workshops, research and programmes for those with an interest in working in their local community and beyond. In the past, this has covered areas including Brixton, St Raphael’s Estate, Broadwater Farm Estate, City of London and other communities undergoing change.

Arts Jobs

Specialising in jobs and open calls in the arts and creative industries, Art Jobs has over 20 categories to help you curate a newsletter that’s most relevant to your interests. Disciplines include graphic design, fashion, fine art, photography and creative direction, catering to a wide pool of talent. With jobs, open calls, residencies, business tips and competitions, it’s also useful for those looking for freelance work, international opportunities and other short-term work.

Culture Central

Good for: Creative opportunities in Birmingham and the West Midlands
Frequency: Weekly

Culture Central shares the latest creative roles in Birmingham and the West Midlands region. It lists a wide range of open vacancies across the creative industries from entry-level upwards, in roles such as marketing, social media, production and project management. The newsletter also shares opportunities such as training, networking, development, commissions, bursaries and grants.

ArtsHub UK

Disciplines: Arts, publishing, education and performing arts
Good for: Jobs, news, career advice
Frequency: Weekly

ArtsHub UK is a resource that shares news, reviews, grants, courses and job opportunities. They have five newsletters per week, allowing you to look out for different advice and vacancies. Two focus on industry jobs and news, two focus on advice from industry leaders and experienced journalists, and the last one focuses solely on the latest arts opportunities. They share openings in visual art, arts admin, writing and publishing, design, performing arts and more.

If You Could Jobs

Disciplines: Advertising, design, editorial and marketing
Good for: Creative jobs meeting the minimum wage and above
Frequency: Monthly

Our sister company If You Could Jobs are a creative jobs board listing job roles for all levels, and only list jobs meeting the minimum wage and above. Their monthly newsletter provides opportunities ranging from animation and editorial to strategy and design.

A New Direction

Disciplines: All disciplines
Good for: Jobs, training and opportunities for young creatives
Frequency: N/A

Focused specifically on young creatives, the non-profit A New Direction lets you select the disciplines you’re interested in: from film, TV and radio to publishing, music, performing, visual arts and more. It’ll then send you a round-up of any newly-listed jobs, training or opportunities.

JournoResources

Disciplines: Writing, journalism, social media, marketing, communications
Good for: Jobs and journalism industry advice
Frequency: Weekly

JournoResources is a non-profit organisation that supports journalists starting out in the industry. It lists list jobs that pay at least the National Minimum Wage and display a salary band for most of their listings. You can sign up to their newsletter to get fresh jobs in your inbox every week.

Creative UK Collective

Good for: Opportunities and industry insights

Creative UK is a diverse creative network that aims to provide connection, collaboration and opportunties for all. From job opportunities to key pieces of research, its newsletter gives you the chance to make meaningful connections and stay in the loop.
