Affinity

Loved by millions of professionals across the globe, Affinity is an award-winning creative software suite comprised of advanced photo editing, page layout, graphic design and illustration tools for Mac, Windows and iPad.
Inside the Company
Serif, the developers of Affinity, started out in 1987 producing creative software for Windows before deciding to turn their focus to the development of a lean, super-fast suite of apps for Mac, Windows and iPad in 2009. This pivot meant throwing away all the old code and creating the Affinity range from scratch. It was a big gamble and turned into a massive project, taking the best part of five years from writing the first line of code to releasing Affinity Designer, the first Affinity app, in October 2014. Affinity Photo followed in 2015 and then Affinity Publisher in 2019, forming a full creative suite of applications covering photo editing, graphic design and publishing. The apps were adopted by millions of customers worldwide, won some of the biggest awards in the industry and gained plaudits from reviewers. Version 2 of Affinity was launched in 2022, introducing hundreds of new features and enhancements, plus a completely redesigned UI, for an incredibly fluid and powerful working experience. Today, more than three million users around the world trust Affinity to create everything from complex multi-layered graphics to detailed technical diagrams, art and illustration, logos, mockups, documents, magazines and much more. In March 2024, Affinity was acquired by Canva, the world’s only all-in-one visual communication platform.
