Giant Ant

Giant Ant is a creative studio, design shop and animation house. For over 17 years, they’ve worked hard to cultivate the very best talent in the industry and, together, craft meaningful and creative work.
Inside the Company
Giant Ant has created award-winning projects across both entertainment and advertising — with 2 Emmys, and multiple honours at The One Show, D&AD, ADC, and Clios, and others. They know that people don’t remember what you tell them, but how you make them feel. They know that everything they put in the world is a statement of their taste. They know that love is always the secret ingredient. Founded by life partners Jay and Leah in 2007, Giant Ant is a team of 22 full-time artists, producers and operations people based predominantly in Vancouver, Canada. In addition to full-time staff, Giant Ant regularly collaborates with freelance talent worldwide. In 2022, Giant Ant joined Residence, a global network of creative companies.
Mission and Vision
Giant Ant lives by the core belief that everything they put out into the world is a statement of their taste. And by their sacred 3 Rules: 1. Never miss a deadline 2. Don’t be a jerk 3. Put love in your work

Culture and Benefits
Giant Ant is a close-knit team that values human connection, both in person and through the screens. They run twice weekly all-team meetings to start and end each week by sharing what everyone’s been working on, and for the in-studio folks, there’s a nicely stocked snack cupboard with monthly team lunches and weekly beer and ice cream breaks. Benefits-wise, Giant Ant is always looking to evolve its offerings to support staff outside of work too, with private health and dental coverage, enhanced parental leave, an annual fitness allowance, and generous time-off policies.
Opportunities
Giant Ant is always on the look out for new talent to collaborate with and encourage everyone to get in touch via their open hiring form. They’re also down for a casual IRL scheduled studio hello for people passing through Vancouver!
They run annual summer internships where talent typically spend 2-3 months in our Vancouver studio, mentored by senior talent while contributing to live projects.
