Modern Arts was founded as an agency for the post advertising age, built to help brands drive business in a world where the bar for engaging an audience has never been higher. The agency’s approach combines the expertise of storytellers from across entertainment with all the capabilities of a world class agency to build brands and generate business in today’s ever evolving culture.
Inside the Company
Founded in 2023, it was named the 2024 Cannes Lions Independent Agency of the Year in Entertainment. You can find the work Modern Arts makes everywhere from TikTok to Netflix. The agency brings together showrunners, screenwriters, journalists and creators at the forefront of popular culture with brand strategists, data strategists, creative directors and brand directors who know how to build a brand and generate business results. All collaborating in a system designed to flex to meet the specific needs of each project, much more like a nimble Hollywood production company than a bloated ad agency (having worked at both, the founders know the difference). Our founders have led teams at the highest levels of the agency and entertainment worlds, most recently at Wieden+Kennedy and Anonymous Content, the Oscar and Emmy winning production and management company. Together they have won every major award for creativity and effectiveness for their breakthrough work on brands like Apple, AirBnB, Anheuser-Busch InBev, Coca-Cola, Adidas, Expedia, Adobe, HP and WhatsApp.
Mission and Vision
Brands today can no longer simply interrupt their way into their audience’s hearts and minds. They must create stories and experiences their audience will choose to engage with – just like everything else fighting for their attention. Rather than being bound to a structure that was invented at the dawn of commercials, Modern Arts has built a new model to help brands make stuff their audience wants by tapping into the minds of those behind the entertainment they love.

Culture and Benefits
With no physical home base, Modern Arts is a work from everywhere agency. That flexibility allows them to work with talent from across the country. It’s also an optimal setup given how frequently the team travels for production. It’s not uncommon to have people dialing into the same video meeting from a stadium, a soundstage and an F1 track. But since nothing builds culture like a good old fashioned IRL hang, the agency frequently brings everyone on the team together to celebrate the launch of their latest work.
Opportunities
