It’s not always obvious how to present your work so your thinking comes through clearly. This June, we’re continuing our event series with the Adobe Creative Apprenticeship, focusing on how to turn your projects into clear, engaging stories – with creatives walking through their own portfolios. Register now and join us on Wednesday 24 June.

The Adobe Creative Apprenticeship helps aspiring creatives gain real-world experience through mentorship, commissioned projects and opportunities with leading creative employers. Across this event series, we’ll explore practical ways to strengthen your work, grow your confidence and prepare for future creative opportunities.

What you’ll learn

  • What to include in your portfolio and what to leave out
  • Ways to structure your projects so your thinking is easier to follow
  • When and how to show your process so it adds value
  • How visuals and mock-ups can strengthen your work
  • What makes a portfolio feel clear and focused
  • How Adobe tools can help you develop ideas and create more polished portfolio visuals and promotional materials without a big budget

You’ll also have the chance to ask questions during a live Q&A.

About the event

Your portfolio is often the first place people go to understand what you do. But how do you make it hold someone’s attention?

To help, we’re teaming up with the Adobe Creative Apprenticeship for two more free online events designed to help emerging creatives thrive... As part of the ongoing series, you’ll hear from creatives within the industry about how they approach their portfolios and start to think about the message they want to convey with their work.

Whether you’re building your first portfolio or refining an existing one, you’ll come away with practical ways to make your work easier to follow, communicate your thinking more clearly and present your projects with greater confidence.

In this session, you’ll hear from industry panellists as they break down how they build portfolios so that the narrative is intentional and engaging. Through real examples, they’ll share what goes into choosing projects, structuring their work and deciding how much process to include.

This event is part of our ongoing series with the Adobe Creative Apprenticeship program. Participants can also access career resources, live events and apprenticeship opportunities through the program.
