10,000 Interns Foundation
The 10,000 Black Interns programme is challenging the under-representation of Black talent in the workplace; creating equity of opportunity through its internship programme, and equity of experience in the workplace.
The 10,000 Black Interns Programme offers paid internships for Black students and recent graduates. You'll embark on a minimum 6-week internship in Summer 2025 where you will receive a mentor from your allocated organisation for the full duration of the internship.
This Programme is only open to candidates who are of Black African, Black Caribbean, Black British, or mixed Black heritage. Candidates must also meet one of the following criteria:
Studying at a UK University at undergraduate or postgraduate level
- Recently graduated from a UK University (from 2022 onwards)
- Right to work in the UK
- Over 18, on a gap year, with a confirmed place at a UK university
How to Apply
There are 40 business areas or workstreams represented under the programme. You will be prompted to select three areas of interest and be asked to explain, in up to 250 words, why you are interested in an internship in each of these workstreams.
Your application will be sent to organisations that have internships available in correlating business areas or workstreams and your answers will inform whether they decide to take your application forward, so remember to proofread your work and make the most of your 250 words!
