4th Emerging Filmmakers Showcase
Film Files Club
Join us for the 4th edition of The Film Files Club's Emerging Filmmakers Showcase! Seven short films, followed by a filmmaker Q&A and networking drinks.
We’re back with the fourth edition of the Film Files Club’s Emerging Filmmakers Showcase, celebrating independent cinema and the filmmakers bringing bold new voices to the screen.
Our latest programme, Strange Little Worlds, brings together seven short films that invite us into the unexpected. From fictional worlds and unfamiliar realities to the strange details of everyday life, this collection explores the many ways filmmakers can shift our perspective, challenge what feels familiar and make us see the world a little differently.
Join us for an evening of independent cinema, new discoveries and conversations with the people behind the work.
What to expect:
- A curated programme of short films spanning narrative, experimental and documentary filmmaking.
- A post-screening Q&A where you can hear directly from the filmmakers about their ideas, creative processes and the stories behind their films.
- A chance to connect with emerging filmmakers, meet potential collaborators and share your thoughts with a community of people who care about cinema.
About the Emerging Filmmakers Showcase
The Emerging Filmmakers Showcase is part of the Film Files Club’s ongoing commitment to creating space for new voices in filmmaking. We believe that emerging filmmakers deserve opportunities to share their work, reach new audiences and connect with others working across the industry.
Our showcases are about more than watching films: they’re about building community, encouraging conversation and celebrating the different ways stories can be told.
Whether you’re a filmmaker yourself, a film enthusiast, or simply curious to discover something new, you’re very welcome.
Come along, watch something unexpected, meet the filmmakers and step into a few strange little worlds of your own!
