This programme is designed to identify, support, and develop the next generation of theatre-makers whilst keeping our focus on new writing. We aim to provide space, resources, and mentorship to develop new young artists.

Theatre503's Young Company is a 9-week programme where talented young artists, based in Wandsworth, will write their own short play.

The initiative, starting in early October, aims to develop new writing by individuals aged 16-25 through regular creative workshops that will hone their artistic skills. A chance to learn the inner workings of a London theatre, participants will be guided by industry professionals to develop their voice.

Participants will:
- Learn new playwriting skills
- Gain experience in performing
- Be part of a network of like-minded peers and writers
- Start to understand how a London-based theatre like 503 works.
- Have fun and craft the stories they want to tell.

Led by Omar Bynon, a London-based writer, poet, actor, and workshop facilitator. Omar graduated from RADA in 2020 moving on to work with the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Royal Court Theatre, and the Arcola Theatre. He is currently on tour performing in Blue Mist.

And it's completely free! A brilliant opportunity that will allow young people in Wandsworth to explore writing for stage, meet like-minded people, and have their work performed.

Location:

503 Battersea Park Rd, London SW11 3BW
