We are seeking creative submissions for three temporary installations in a disused, iconic K6 telephone box in the village of Damerham in the New Forest, transforming it into a vibrant art space that engages both locals and visitors.
Similar to Trafalgar Square’s Fourth Plinth, this opportunity invites three artists (or artist collectives) to develop temporary installations to be displayed in the phone box between July 2025 and March 2026. The three works will be selected by the Damerham community and should reflect a sense of ‘place’.
Please see the full brief for Project Timelines, including dates for the three exhibition periods.
Who Can Apply
This opportunity is open to all artists, working individually or collaboratively, in any medium (please note that the phone box has no electricity, so any digital/electronic works must include their own power source). We welcome applications from artists of all backgrounds and lived experiences. If you have any access needs, please let us know how we can support you.
Key Project Details
- Location: Damerham, Hampshire, SP6 3HD. To find out a little bit more about Damerham if you are not a local, go to the Damerham Community Website and the Town and Village Guide.
