North East Dance CIC is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Community Dance Tutor (18.5 hours/week | £15,873) to join our exciting new Heritage Lottery funded initiative celebrating Sunderland’s rich dance heritage through movement, storytelling, and community engagement.

Location: Sunderland & North East

Hours: 18.5 hours per week

Salary: £15,873 actual per annum

Term: Fixed-term (Heritage Fund Grant Dependent)

Please note: This role is dependent on successful and continued funding.

This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in preserving and celebrating Sunderland's dance heritage while inspiring people of all ages to connect through creativity and movement.

As our Community Dance Tutor, you will:

· Deliver inspiring dance and movement sessions for young people and older adults

· Facilitate inclusive workshops exploring dance heritage and cultural traditions

· Develop engaging learning materials and resources

· Support participant recruitment, engagement, and wellbeing

· Contribute to performances, showcases, and community events

We are looking for someone who is:

· Passionate about dance, heritage, and community wellbeing

· Experienced in delivering community dance and movement sessions

· Confident working with mixed age groups and diverse communities

· Creative, inclusive, and culturally sensitive in their practice

· Committed to creating welcoming spaces where everyone can participate

This is a North East based / community focused role
