It's an independent Ad school, funded by BBH. Black sheep wanted. Misfits, you're going to fit in. We want applications from everyone and everywhere. It's a great place to share brilliant ideas, and a safe space to share terrible ones!
To apply to Barn, our eight-month creative course, please complete the following briefs:
- What would your Tinder profile look like if you were trying to date a chicken?
- Every year, hundreds of new words are added to the dictionary. Come up with three of your own and provide their definitions.
- How would you get a camel past security at your local Wetherspoons?
- Explain air without using any words.
- Write and perform a song in praise of mango chutney.
Tips
Keep your ideas simple.
Use any medium, from posters to Tik Tok.
The finish of your ideas isn’t important. Your ideas are.
You can use AI to generate images if you need to, but please don’t use it to generate ideas. We will know.

Applications close at midnight Friday 15th May.
Interviews will take place at BBH from 1 - 12 June 2026.
The 8 month course will start on 28 September 2026.
You will be paid a salary of £28,860.
You must be 18+, have the permanent right to work in the UK, and attend the course in person at our Soho office.
Please note: We will not be giving individual feedback on submissions.
And please, no applications from other advertising schools. Barn is for starters.
