Deptford X, London’s longest-running visual arts festival, is back with a bold new format!
For the first time, we’re going biennial, expanding the festival to 18 days of incredible art, exhibitions, events, and a participatory street parade. Since its inception in 1998, Deptford X has been a platform for artists connected to South East London. We’ve welcomed thousands of visitors to each festival and featured significant artists like Chila Kumari Singh Burman, Evan Ifekoya, Hew Locke and Bob and Roberta Smith.
From 11th – 27th July 2025, Deptford X will showcase the best of local creativity, with equity, accessibility, and care at its heart.

Deptford X Supported Artist Commission
- Who can apply? Early-career Black and People of Colour artists from the London Borough of Lewisham
