Equalize is a free week-long music programme for 11–16 year old's, during Half Term, and offering young people the chance to create, collaborate & explore sounds of Black British and Electronic Music - such as Grime, R&B, Garage, and UK Rap
Equalize is a new initiative that brings the legacy of Black British and Electronic Music into classrooms and creative spaces across the UK. Designed to amplify underrepresented voices in music education, the programme helps young people build creative skills and connect with the history of the music they love.
Over five days, students will learn from music professionals how to:
- Learn to create beats and experiment with sound
- Collaborate with peers and with music professionals & mentors
- Discover new pathways into creative careers
- Engage with the history of Black British & Electronic music
All sessions are led by experienced music educators and industry professionals, providing both creative guidance and mentorship throughout the programme.

- ACM Birmingham
- 27th - 31st October
- 11am - 5pm
- Free (includes lunch, snacks, and refreshments)
No previous musical experience is needed - just curiosity, energy, and creativity!
All equipment will be provided.
