Join award-winning stage and costume designer Frankie Bradshaw for a Masterclass on bringing stories to life through design.

With celebrated work across the UK stage, Frankie is known for her striking, multi-textured set and costume design. In this session, she’ll take you behind the scenes of her design process, using case studies from three recent productions: Ballet Shoes (National Theatre), Alterations (National Theatre), and Retrograde (Kiln Theatre and Apollo Theatre).

Frankie will explore how she approaches a new script, collaborates with directors and creative teams, and balances storytelling with aesthetic detail. She’ll share how design choices shape the tone, rhythm and world of a production, and how the visual language of a show evolves from concept to stage.

This Masterclass is ideal for designers, directors, and theatre-makers interested in deepening their understanding of design as a storytelling tool. There will be time at the end for a Q&A with Frankie.
