Join us for the new edition of our Industry Talks series and get ready to dive into the world of production companies!

For those who are new here, welcome! For over five years, the Film Files Club has been bringing filmmakers and film lovers together to learn, share, and connect. Our mission is to make the film industry more accessible, giving emerging filmmakers the chance to grow, connect with peers, and gain insights from industry professionals.

As part of this ongoing series, we’re back with another edition of Industry Talks — and this time, it's All About Production Companies. Whether you’re thinking about starting one, already running one, or simply curious how production companies work behind the scenes, this session will unpack what they really do — from creative development and financing to team structures and long-term sustainability.

Join us for an evening of insight and conversation with an incredible panel of producers and founders:

  • Celia Hodgson — Celia is a pivotal force in the creative scene, connecting people and nurturing culture. She's the Founder and Creative Director at Tiny Studios, a B-Corp production house. She also co-founded Making Moves + Movies, a community championing female and non-binary creatives, pushing for inclusivity, diversity, and openness in the film industry.
  • Tiernan Dixon — Tiernan is the founder of Superbeam Agency, an independent production company specialising in human-focused films, branded micro-documentaries, and brand journalism. As a self-taught film buff who never attended film school, Tiernan strongly believes in the power of human emotion, connection, and human-led narratives for both film and commerce.
  • Georgia Bagnall — Georgia is the powerhouse behind Studio Soeur, a buzzing creative production company known for its distinctive documentary-style approach and innovative storytelling. With a journey that started with self-made documentaries and a film production degree, she now leads a dynamic team crafting ambitious projects for global brands, all while nailing that perfect mix of beauty, craft, and business savvy.

The panel will be led by Sophie Stemmons, followed by an open Q&A — your chance to ask questions and dig deeper into the realities of production life. Afterwards, we’ll continue the conversation over drinks at the cinema bar.
