Our Internship Overview
The Amplify U Internship is a structured, 12-month paid programme open to individuals aged 18 and over who demonstrate a strong interest in a career in the music industry. Interns are placed within specific departments and will gain meaningful, hands-on experience while developing professionally and personally through curated development sessions, projects and network-building opportunities.

This exciting position is within UMG for Brands, the Brand Partnership division of Universal Music Group, where you will join an international team of 3-people specializing in business development the markets across the world.
The Market team is dedicated to supporting UMG for Brands territories and generating commercial opportunities for that positively impact their P&L from both a revenue and margin perspective. The team is regularly working closely with local teams to regionalise or globalise key prospects of clients and delivering campaigns – acting as a third arm and support them in running their local activity smoothly and efficiently.

As the Markets intern, you will play a vital role in supporting the Markets team through a diverse range of missions and tasks, going from project management, communication coordination to strategic market research. You will become and serve as a key point of contact for our local markets, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations by responding to briefs, requests and providing necessary resources (insights decks, pitch materials, cases etc). You will also help shape internal communication by contributing to UMGB’s newsletters, maintaining internal tools and platforms and organizing both virtual and in-person meetings. Additionally, you will assist with new business initiatives—conducting competitive analysis and identifying global growth opportunities for the markets —while offering logistical and operational support to team members across various projects. This experience promises a dynamic and collaborative environment, where you will learn more about the music and brands world, with a real international dimension thanks to the various teams you will interact with and initiatives you will support on.
What you’ll learn:
- Supporting your team’s projects and day-to-day operations
- Supporting in brief responses and participating in cross-functional projects with UMGB teams (insights, media, artists, sales, accounts etc)
- Conducting research on growth and new business opportunities, preparing internal and external documentation and assisting with admin tasks
- Organizing and attending team meetings, regional meetings with the local teams, training sessions and learning days
- Contributing ideas and sharing your perspective as part of a collaborative team

Who you are:
- You will have a passion for the music and entertainment industries and therefore eagerness to learn.
- Ideally, you will be a graduate and have attended High-level marketing / business schools or equivalent. If you have already experience in the entertainment industry, this will be a plus!
- You will be native or fluent in English. If you speak an additional language, this will be a plus!
- You will be proficient in MS Pack Office with a focus on creating clear, structured and visually compelling PowerPoint presentations
- You will have excellent analytical and research skills.
- You will be detail-oriented and have a great sense of initiative
- You will be confident and comfortable in presenting your work to the wider team and more broadly work collaboratively.
- You will have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, work to tight deadlines and have a sense of task prioritisation.
- You will be autonomous, highly resourceful, have excellent relational skills and a positive attitude!
