The RPS Awards celebrate people shaping photography today, whether through their art, their science, their teaching, or their support of the RPS community through the Member Awards.
Nominations for the 2026 RPS Awards are now open! The RPS awards recognise individuals working across both the art and science of the still and moving image, working within the promotion of photography and within photographic education. Nominations are open to everyone and can be submitted in multiple categories.
The RPS have recognised outstanding contributions and ground-breaking achievements from hundreds of individuals over the past 147 years. Previous recipients include Sally Mann, Steve McCurry, Annie Leibovitz, Sir David Attenborough, Martin Parr and Sir Don McCullin.
There are 13 categories to choose from including:
- Achievement in the Art of Photography (under 30yrs)
- Photography Publishing with Honorary Fellowship
- Environmental Responsibility with Honorary Fellowship
- Photography Education with Honorary Fellowship
- Photography Curatorship, Criticism or Research with Honorary Fellowship

You can make multiple nominations in as many categories as you wish. Do not nominate yourself for an Award.
