Our core business involves both supporting a variety of day-to-day clients while delivering integrated campaigns for large-scale commercial and residential property development. We are hiring for this new role now as all aspects of our business are increasing in volume significantly in 2025 and our technicians and installers will need to focus on production and delivery. As the Studio Assistant, you will join the Operations Team and will perform a wide variety of cleaning, workshop, and supportive tasks while reporting to the Studio Operations Manager on site in Bermondsey. You will play an important role in the studio maintaining a high Health & Safety standard. You will be on your feet moving around for most of your day.

Your daily tasks will fall largely into several categories:

This will include, but is not limited to:

  • Cleaning 2x kitchens & 3x restrooms weekly
  • Sweeping/mopping floors and stairwells
  • Wiping, dusting, etc.
  • Stowing dishes, tools, hardware, materials end of day
  • Bringing rubbish and large scrap to the skip
  • Organizing/arranging a variety of large/heavy materials

You will help by:

  • Breaking down boxes and waste material
  • Packing/preparing client work for shipping
  • Collecting materials/hardware from suppliers
  • Dropping off goods at the post office or nearby locations

Your Experience and Qualities

Required

  • Ability to lift heavy items; we send and receive metal, plywood, MDF and plastic sheets daily and you will be the point person in helping the couriers load/unload their vehicles
  • Keen eyes and memory; we will provide overall guidance on tasks, but want someone who is actively on the lookout for opportunities to sort the space and can retain verbal instruction well
  • A service attitude; we’re all here to make cool stuff for people and work together to get everything done

Preferable

  • Valid and Clean Driving License; occasionally it is more effective for us to pick up or drop off items locally ourselves
  • Experience with pallet trucks and hand tools; spatial awareness and confidence in performing basic works would be very helpful
  • hands-on; occasionally we all need to jump on a project to get it out the door
