Ilex Studio is seeking a full-time Studio Manager to support the day-to-day running of our London studio, coordinating production, logistics, scheduling and creative projects across a growing design practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the daily operations and organisation of the studio
  • Coordinating schedules, timelines and project planning across multiple ongoing works
  • Liaising with fabricators, warehouses, printers, suppliers and global sales team
  • Keeping track of stock and inventory
  • Caring for and helping maintain studio plants and growing displays
  • Assisting with trade fair planning, installations and shipping logistics
  • Organising transport, couriers and customs paperwork
  • Maintaining archive and studio records
  • Ordering and managing studio materials, equipment and supplies
  • Supporting production processes and helping oversee fabrication and outsourced production
  • Preparing presentations, PDFs, image decks and project documentation
  • Managing email correspondence and general administration
  • Coordinating assistants and freelancers
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient studio environment
  • Assisting with research and development for future projects and commissions
  • Supporting photography and social media
  • Helping manage deadlines and ensuring projects progress smoothly

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an artist studio, gallery, architecture,
    fashion, design or creative environment preferred, but not essential
    (open to talent with 0-3+ years of experience)
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Calm and solutions-focused under pressure
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign and Photoshop
  • Confident using Google Workspace, spreadsheets and organisational systems
  • Interest in contemporary art, design, objects, nature, trees, plants and material processes
  • Practical mindset and willingness to assist with both administrative and physical studio tasks
  • Full clean driving licence beneficial but not essential

The ideal candidate will be highly reliable, discreet, resourceful and interested in becoming an integral part of a growing studio practice.

This is a full-time, studio-based role in London.
