V&A Photography Course - A Moment in Time
V&A Young People's Team

The V&A is looking for 12 people aged between 18-26 who are interested in developing a creative practice in photography.
A Moment in Time is a free five-day course exploring Photographic practice with Michael Akuagwu and Jude Amponsah. Using work on display in the V&A as inspiration, you will create your own photographic artwork to be showcased in a pop-up display on 25 September 2026.
What to expect from the project:
- Create a new piece of work for your portfolio
- Collaborate and share practice with other creatives
- Develop your photographic skills
- Take part in crit sessions with museum professionals and peers
- Share your work at the V&A for a pop-up display
- Grow your confidence in talking about your work
- Lunch and refreshments will be provided

Session 1: Wednesday 5 August – 10.30 - 16:30
Session 2: Thursday 6 August – 10.30 - 16:30
Session 3: Friday 7 August – 10.30 - 16:30
Session 4: Wednesday 12 August – 10.30 - 16:30
Session 5: Thursday 13 August – 10.30 - 16:30
Location: V&A South Kensington

Eligibility criteria:
- 18 – 26 years old
- Live in London
- Able to attend all 5 sessions
- An interest in photography and a willingness to develop your practice (you do not need to be a photographer)
