LIVING PROOF
LIVING PROOF is recruiting 16 young people aged 16-24 to become paid Youth Consultants for the Wandle Valley Regional Park project: four young people from each of Wandsworth, Merton, Sutton and Croydon.
Help local communities shape the future of the River Wandle and the green spaces, routes and neighbourhoods around it.
From September to December 2026, you will learn community research skills and help local residents share what they need and want from the River Wandle, nearby green spaces and the walking, cycling and wheeling routes that connect them.
You do not need previous experience or specialist knowledge. We are looking for young people who are curious, reliable, willing to listen and interested in their community.
What will you do?
- Take part in paid training in peer research, community consultation, interviewing, data collection and analysis.
- Speak with and listen to residents, community organisations and people in your own networks or neighbourhood.
- Carry out agreed surveys and interviews in a respectful, safe and confidential way.
- Work with the other Youth Consultants to make sure the findings reflect different boroughs, communities and experiences.
What will you gain?

You will be paid £14.80 per hour for all agreed project time, up to a total of 40 hours. Agreed travel expenses will be paid separately.
