Paid research and zine workshops for creative freelancers at the Good Growth Hub on language and Climate Change.

We're seeking 10 creative freelancers whose work involves climate change or is an area of interest to them, as part of our Freelance Exchange programme. You'll act as a co-researcher, with the University of London's Institute of Culture, Languages and Societies department (ILCS).

During three interactive workshops, you will be exploring ways to develop positive narratives around climate change, helping to create a collaborative zine with the guidance of Jade Chao from Daikon Zine.

Skills and/or experience in filmmaking, photography, and zine-making are a plus, and knowledge of additional languages will be beneficial (but not essential).

The zine and research will be submitted to the Arts and Humanities Research Council. It is not essential, but it may also be beneficial if you speak a language other than English.

The zine and research will be submitted to the Arts and Humanities Research Council.

Pay: £100 per workshop (£300 total) + £10/day travel = £330 (£130 upfront, £200 upon completion of all three workshops paid directly by ILCS). ILCS are unable to cover travel expenses for this project.

Eligibility:

- Aged 18-30 (from application date)

- Freelancers with a creative discipline, e.g. including and not limited to photography, videography, spoken word, illustration, graphic design

- Living in the London boroughs of Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Newham or Waltham Forest.

- With priority given to those who also went to school or college in one of these four boroughs.
