WE ARE LOOKING FOR SHORT FILMS!

The First Edition of the Film Files Club x perediza Short Film Festival invites emerging filmmakers to explore the blurred lines between film, art, and life, while celebrating the ambiguity and complexity that define the "grey" areas of creative expression and human experience.

The term "Grey Area" carries a dual meaning:
  • It represents the liminal space where film, art, and life intersect, challenging traditional boundaries and genres
  • It acknowledges the mental and creative space where emerging filmmakers often find themselves - a place of uncertainty, yet ripe with potential
We aim to foster a nuanced conversation on identity, societal pressures, and humanity's complex relationship with the environment. By embracing the grey areas, we seek to uncover the richness found in uncertainty and the beauty that coexists with complexity.

Submission Categories:
Echoing the structure of perediza magazine, we accept submissions in four categories:

  • Climate Change: films in this category explore human vulnerability in nature, environmental impacts, and sustainability
  • Style: films in this category examine fashion, adornment, and their cultural significance
  • Art: films in this category investigate the intersections of various art forms, cultural influences, and artistic expression
  • Life: films in this category reflect on personal experiences, relationships, and societal pressures
We invite you to share your vision and contribute to a collective exploration of the nuanced, complex, and beautifully ambiguous aspects of cinema and life.
