A little bit about Zsófi

I’m the Event Project Manager at Creative Lives in Progress, helping to produce a programme that connects emerging creatives with industry. I originally trained in Costume Design and Theatre, and while volunteering at events I discovered how I loved the people-facing and collaborative side of the work. I have 8+ years of work experience across arts, education, theatre, film, fashion and circus; in marketing, projects and events management roles. I’ve worked with artists on their brand narrative and worldbuilding and on projects that highlight or educate about gender issues and feminism. I’m also a Third Culture Kid, I grew up in Japan, Indonesia, and Hungary, and moved to Scotland after finishing high school. My slightly non-linear route means I understand career pivots and finding your place in the creative industries.

What Zsófi is excited about

I love creating spaces where people genuinely connect. I enjoy unpacking career journeys, but also enjoy spreadsheets and systems that can support a project run well and smoothly. I’m also a big fan of costume dramas, theatre, film and performance, of witchy things like astrology, and going dancing (non-professionally!).

What Zsófi can help most with

I can help someone in the first few years of their creative career make sense of the industry, present themselves clearly, and build the practical skills and confidence to turn ideas into real projects and events. Things like: – Translating your experience into a clear professional story: I love to help think through how you can look at what you’ve already done and frame your journey, as well as look for transferable skills from different areas of your work. – Wearing multiple hats: I can help you think about balancing production, marketing, admin, design and people-facing work when your role juggles a lot. – Event/project management for creatives. – Networking for people who don’t like ‘networking’.
