12 creative studios to check out in Bournemouth

So every few weeks, we’ll be helping you discover new studios, agencies and more by highlighting a range of them up and down the British isles. This week, we’re heading to the coastal gem, Bournemouth!

Known for its beautiful beaches and green spaces, culture and entertainment offerings – such as the multidisciplinary Bournemouth Arts by the Sea Festival and summer-long entertainment programme Festival Coast Live!, the city attracts millions of visitors annually.

But far from being only a tourist destination, Bournemouth is known year-round as the hub of Dorset’s flourishing creative and digital industry scene, with over 450 creative agencies across the county congregating in the city. It’s also a great source of fresh talent, with 10 percent of the seaside city’s population being made up of students, providing the city and UK’s creative firms and studios with a continuous supply of exciting new insight.

In fact, Bournemouth University has developed a reputation for consistently producing impressive post-production talent – with graduates having gone on to work on big-budget Oscar-winning Hollywood films such as Gravity, Interstellar and both instalments of Avatar, to name just a few.
