At The Marketing Academy Foundation, we create real career opportunities for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to enter the marketing industry. As a social mobility charity, we offer access to salaried entry-level roles and run free employability skills bootcamps, giving young talent the skills, confidence, and networks they need to succeed.
Role Overview:
We’re looking for a creative and results-driven content creator to boost engagement and drive registrations for our employability skills bootcamps. You will be responsible for capturing, producing, and editing compelling content for Instagram and TikTok, ensuring we reach and inspire the right audience. You’ll have a deep understanding of social media trends, strong video editing skills, and the ability to create highly engaging content that converts views into sign-ups.
Goals
- Increase awareness and engagement among our target audience.
- Drive registrations for bootcamps through compelling content and strategic promotion.
- Expand our social media presence by growing our follower base and boosting post engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Capture:
- Attend bootcamps and training sessions to capture high-quality video and photo content.
- Document key moments, participant experiences, and impactful stories.
- Content Creation & Editing:
- Produce engaging social media content, including short-form videos, reels, stories, and static posts.
- Edit and enhance content with relevant effects, transitions, and captions.
- Ensure content aligns with the Foundation's brand voice and visual identity.
- Platform Management:
- Manage and grow our Instagram and TikTok accounts.
- Plan and create a comprehensive social media calendar and posting schedule.
- Monitor social media trends and adapt content strategies accordingly.
- Performance Analysis:
- Track and analyse social media metrics to assess content performance.
- Provide regular reports on engagement, follower growth, and reach.
- Use insights to optimise content strategies and improve results.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in social media content creation, particularly for Instagram and TikTok.
- Strong video editing skills (e.g. using mobile apps or professional software).
- Excellent photography and videography skills.
- Ability to create engaging and visually appealing content.
- Understanding of social media trends and best practices.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Experience with social media analytics.
Details:
- 6-month contract – self-employed
- Part-time: 1-1.5 days per week
- Rate: £150 per day
- Location: Flexible, with occasional on-site attendance for events and program coverage.
