We are currently seeking a student or graduate from a film, or if applicable, wider creative course, to join Willie's Cacao in a part-time videographer / content creator position.

As part of a larger project involving the building of a new chocolate factory & transportation of the existing factory, Willie's Cacao is looking for a part-time film / creative graduate who is interested in gaining first-hand experience shooting and editing content for a commercial F&B company.

The role would primarily focus on content generation for a variety of social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and TikTok, as well as more long-form content such as Youtube later on down the line.

The role is minimum 1 day a week, equally split between filming content onsite in Devon / Herefordshire, and editing remotely. Flexibility on days is appreciated within application for this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The candidate would be responsible for the following:

  • Visiting the existing site in Devon and new site near Herefordshire, on a weekly / bi-weekly basis to film content (films and stills) for the business's social media channels;
  • Produce high quality brief-led content (photos, videos, reels, stories) showcasing the product, making / cooking with / eating the product, the founder, the storytelling narrative surrounding the factory move and SM collaborations;
  • Content will be both new and edits of existing image and film libararies;
  • Filming and editing behind-the-scenes content on-site, as well as recipe tutorials, trend highlights and potentially 'series style' reel content;
  • Liaising with the Social Media Manager to ensure content is available as and when required in line with the social media calendar.

OPPORTUNITY

This role was created with the ambition of providing a student or graduate experience in the industry - with the understanding that this position could lead to a permanent part-time role - and the learning opportunities are as follows;

  • Liaising with the Social Media Manager to ensure content is available as and when required in line with the social media calendar;
  • Working with a Social Media Manager and Marketing Manager to experience the larger company-wide framework that creative production sits in;
  • Observation of the strategic planning, scheduling and posting of Social Media with the opportunity to contribute and understand more of the process;
  • Gain exposure of the interconnection of Comms, Marketing & Sales departments in a commercial F&B company and how creative assets are used collectively and independently;
  • Ability to work onsite directly with the founder whilst working to a brief;
  • Opportunity to develop skills in other areas of interest including SM strategy & management, brand management, copyrighting, product innovation & F&B collaborations / activations.

QUALIFICATIONS

The company would expect the candidate to have the following qualifications and interests;

  • An interest in social media management, content creation and / or film production for this purpose;
  • Studied / studying Film at university (alternative creative courses will be considered if the candidate can supply portfolio evidence of their filming / editing skillsets)
  • Skilled in photography, videography, and editing software (i.e. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva);
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to a brief within a small team;
  • Ability to travel to Devon and more often Herefordshire;
  • Previous interest or experience with high quality food is not required, but beneficial.

Flexible schedule to allow for ease within management of on-site filming days is required.
