Next Stage Artist Hub Takeover: Matters Unknown
Attitude is Everything
We are delighted to welcome Jonathan Enser to this Next Stage Artist Hub, where he will be talking about his experience as a musician, his creative process, and accessibility in practice.
About the Workshop
The workshop will surround creating bodies of work solo and with collaborators, and Jonathan's experiences touring.
Creation:
- Access to the 'flow' state of creation, and setting up a studio to capture these moments. "After my amputation, I didn't always feel like creating, so any boundary became a huge issue for that final moment of creativity."
- Making do with the simplest tools available.
Album:
- Journey to finishing a song; from the moment you have an idea to release.
- Dealing with the pressures of the music economy as you release music in 2025.
Live:
- Leading an audience on a narrative, prompts on how they receive your work.
- Touring conditions and travelling as a wheelchair user.
If we have time, we will be sharing music, so if you feel comfortable, please feel free to bring one of your tracks!
Jonathan hopes to create a roundtable atmosphere to talk about performance and venues, and what we would dream of as artists.
