- A little bit about Alex
- I’m the co-founder of two platforms in the creative industry - both with the creative community at their heart. I’ve helped grow them over the last 20 years from one-week projects into well-known companies in the creative world. Mostly my work now involves business strategy, management and coaching, helping find new clients and collaborating with our teams. Along the way I’ve done every job there is, from intern to CEO so feel as though I’ve got a good idea of what it takes to work in a creative business!
- What Alex is excited about
- At work I’m excited about helping other creatives find meaningful work and connections, and outside of work I spend far too much time watching football and being with my young family.
- What Alex can help most with
- People who are looking to start their own thing, or aren’t sure where to take their career next and get their first opportunity.
Pair Up Pros often have numerous requests so please be patient as we work through applications. We'll let you know by email if we're able to offer you a slot. By applying you agree to:
- Check the details. Be sure you can definitely make the date and time slot you have applied for.
- Be on time. Join a few minutes early. Your 30-minute slot starts and ends as scheduled, so a late arrival means less time with your pro.
- Come prepared. Think about what you want to get out of the time: questions, feedback on your work or something you're stuck on. The more you bring, the more useful it'll be.
- Keep it respectful. Treat your pro's time, advice and boundaries with the same generosity they're showing you.
- Show up! Remember that Pair Up Pros are kindly giving up their time to support emerging talent. We know meeting new people can be nerve-wracking, but we promise it'll be worth it.
- Give notice if plans change. Life happens! If you genuinely can't make it, let us know as soon as you can so we can offer your slot to someone else.
